How IPOB Leader, Nnamdi Kanu Was Arrested By Nigerian Government

According to a high source in the Nigerian administration, Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), was apprehended somewhere in Africa.

One of the sources said, “He was not arrested in London or anywhere in the United Kingdom. Diplomats confirmed that Kanu was picked up somewhere in Africa. The family and IPOB are very unhappy. Apparently, they have known about the trailing and arrest for some time.”

The family of Nnamdi Kanu has previously requested that the Federal Government not mistreat their son, who is currently in the custody of the Department of State Services, according to SaharaReporters (DSS).

Nnamdi Kanu’s younger brother, Emmanuel Kanu, spoke out in Umuahia, the Abia state capital, saying the IPOB leader was on the path of truth and had done no crime worthy of persecution.

He claims that Nnamdi was merely seeking for Biafrans’ freedom, which is a fundamental human right, and that his rights should be recognized.

He claimed that the entire world is watching how Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari handles Kanu.

He went on to say that his brother had raised Nigerians’ awareness of what was going on in the country.

“My brother stood for the truth, and Heaven is on the part of anyone standing for the truth.

“He committed no crime, and the whole world is watching,” Emmanuel added.

Meanwhile, since the news of his detention surfaced, there has been an uncomfortable calm around Umuahia.

People were seen discussing the situation in quiet tones, with some people still perplexed by the situation, while others questioned whether the report was true.
