Nigeria confirms 91 New Cases Of COVID-19, Total Infections Now 1273

Nigeria on Sunday recorded 91 new cases of the novel coronavirus, bringing the country’s total infections to 1,273, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

According to the NCDC in a tweet via its official handle, 43 of the new infections were recorded in Lagos, 8-Sokoto, 6-Taraba, 5-Kaduna, 5-Gombe, 3-Ondo, 3-FCT, 3-Edo, 3-Oyo, 3-Rivers, 3-Bauchi, 2-Osun, 1-Akwa Ibom, 1-Bayelsa, 1-Ebonyi, 1-Kebbi.

NCDC also said 239 coronavirus patients have been discharged so far with 40 deaths recorded.

The United States has the highest number of deaths with 53,070 from 924.865 cases.

Italy has the second highest toll with 26,384 deaths out of 195,351 cases, followed by Spain (22,902 deaths and 223,759 cases), France (22,614 deaths and 161,488 cases) and the UK with 20,319 fatalities and 148,377 cases.
