NCDC Records Two COVID-19 Death As Cases Rise In Ogun

Two people are alleged to have died in Ogun State in the previous three weeks as a result of COVID-19 complications, according to the State government.

In the previous two weeks, 15 new cases have been reported in Ogun, according to Tomi Coker, the state’s commissioner of health.

Coker raised alarm in a statement that Ogun has seen a slow increase in COVID–19 new cases recently, compared to just two cases detected in the entire month of June.

The Health Commissioner informed reporters that four people were being cared for at one of Ogun’s isolation centers, which she said had been empty for the previous month.

Given that eight of Ogun’s local government areas share borders with Lagos State, which hosts a major international airport, and the highly mobile community that exists between them, she expressed the administration’s desire to stop the spread of coronavirus in the state.

Coker encouraged all locals to follow the public health and social measures in place to prevent the sickness from spreading.
