More Governors From PDP Will Join APC Very Soon – Ayade
Ben Ayade, the Governor of Cross River State, has stated that additional governors elected on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) platform will join the All Progressives Congress (APC) (APC).
On Thursday, Ayade declared his defection from the PDP to the APC during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today.
When asked about some of his co-workers considering defection, he said, “Just watch out, you’ll see; you’ll just see that I know what I’m talking about.”
“I am glad to report to you that more governors will be joining (the APC) very soon,” Governor Ayade said, “because what we want to achieve is a country where we can all sit with the President and agree on our succession process without having to fight.”
He refuted the idea that he switched to the APC after a crushing defeat at the recent PDP congress in his state.
Rather, the governor insisted that he was in charge of the PDP and that he had a tight grip on the party until he announced his departure.
