Like Twitter, Facebook Deletes Buhari’s ‘Genocidal Threat’ Post

Facebook, another social media giant, has removed a message from President Muhammadu Buhari’s official profile.

Buhari made waves a few days ago when Twitter took down a tweet from his account. The site banned the post for breaking its terms and conditions, which implied “Genocidal” violence against the Igbos.

Facebook, on the other hand, removed the same post from their site on Friday.

“In line with our global policies, we’ve removed a post from President Buhari’s Facebook page for violating our Community Standards against inciting violence. We remove any content, from individuals or organisations that violates our policies on Facebook.”, Facebook Spokesperson stated.

Former Presidential aide and Opposition figure, Reno Omokri took to his page to celebrate the development.

“We did it it! Facebook has also taken down the tyrant’s genocidal post. We are grateful to Mark Zuckerberg. I am vindicated! When I asked my followers to report that post, many Buharists laughed at me. Who is laughing now. But it is still not enough.”

“We urge Facebook to permanently suspend Muhammadu Buhari like they did to Trump. Buhari is a bloodthirsty war monger that should be shut out of decent society! That way, other’s with genocidal tendencies will learn from the treatment meted out to him.” he wrote.
