Lady Blocks FCMB’s Door After Her Dad Died While Trying To Withdraw Cash (Video)

A bank customer who has yet to be named died after dropping on multiple attempts to withdraw cash for his treatment.

On Monday afternoon, the incident occurred at a new generation bank near the Education bus stop in the Mile 1 axis of Port Harcourt City Local Government Area in Rivers State.

According to reports, the late customer banked with the financial institution before the tragic incident occurred.

The victim died of frustration, according to a source familiar with the incident, who earlier posted a photo of the late victim on Facebook under the name Uwaifo Oviawe.

“A customer banking with one of the new generation banks in Port Harcourt has died as a result of the bank’s customer service attendants’ annoyance and unfriendly treatment,” the source said.

“A customer of the new generation bank recently passed away in front of the bank. Even when he came with his family, he was denied access to his own money since Friday.

“Despite the fact that the court is not in session, he was asked to go to the court to obtain an affidavit.”

According to the source, a man who was on his way to get an affidavit collapsed and died outside the bank.

The drama began when a young lady and two men arrived at the open bank premises, requesting that the bank open the access door so they could deposit the man’s remains in the banking hall.

The bank had shut down operations as a result of the incident, and the panicked family members were barred from entering the hall.

The young lady, who was crying, identified the victim as her father, explaining that he was sick and had come to the bank for help.

“He came to the bank on Friday to withdraw money, but they said he needed to bring a next of kin and an affidavit about a problem I don’t know about,” she explained.

“When he arrived today, they informed him he needed to go get a court affidavit, but the man told them he was sick and the courts were closed, so they declined. He died as a result of his frustration.”
