JUST IN: Buhari Arrives In Kano For Son’s Wedding [Photos]
Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) has arrived in Kano for the wedding of his son, Yusuf Buhari, to Zahra Bayero, the daughter of Nasiru Ado Bayero, the Emir of Bichi in Kano State.
The wedding will take place today in the Emir of Bichi’s palace.
The President had previously paid a visit to Yola, Adamawa State, to express his condolences to the state’s government and people following the death of Ahmed Joda, a former permanent secretary and elder statesman.
Buhari Sallau, a presidential assistant, stated on Facebook that the President is now in Kano for his son’s wedding.
“President Muhammadu Buhari visits Kano this afternoon for his son, Yusuf Buhari’s wedding to Zahra Nasir Bayero at the Emir Palace in Bichi LGA,” he wrote.
According to NEWS DIRECT, President Buhari has already deployed a high-level team, led by his Chief of Staff, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, to the wedding.
The delegation includes retired Maj. Gen. Bashir Magashi, Minister of Defense; Alhaji Sabo Nanono, Minister of Agriculture; Sen. Hadi Sirika, Minister of Aviation; Suleiman Hussein Adamu, Minister of Water Resources; and Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant to the President (Media and Publicity).
