IPOB, Oduduwa Republic agitators protests on Independence Day [Photos]

Igbo group and Yoruba group calling for session have fulfilled their promise to protest for the actualization of the sovereign state of Biafra and Oduduwa republic respectively, on Thursday October 1 2020.

Recall that the Indigenous People of Biafra, (IPOB) and the Yoruba One Voice (YOV) had jointly taken a stand to ask for a referendum to be conducted on or before October 1, 2021 which marks Nigeria’s next independence day celebration.

Yoruba One Voice, a Diaspora coalition on Wednesday had proposed sensitisation rally slated for October 1 and assured participants of that the rally remains sacrosanct and will be peaceful.

The group of agitators were on Thursday in alliance march, both in Nigeria and abroad, they protested against the celebration of Nigeria’s 60th independence anniversary, calling for self-determination of both Oduduwa Republic and actualization of the sovereign state of Biafra.
