Insecurity: Recruit Hundreds Of Nigerians Into Security Forces — Aisha Tells Buhari

Aisha Buhari, Nigeria’s First Lady, has advised President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration to hire hundreds more Nigerians into the country’s security forces in order to bolster the country’s continuing fight against insecurity.

Mrs Buhari also advised the women of military and police chiefs to help their husbands in carrying out their responsibilities to the country. She made the remarks while greeting service chiefs’ spouses on a familiarization visit to her at the State House in Abuja.

She explained that providing such support would enhance their spouses’ morale and strengthen their dedication to fighting crime in Nigeria.

The first lady also urged relevant authorities to ensure a large-scale recruitment of security professionals in order to increase the country’s security forces’ manpower.

While praising President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration’s efforts to swiftly pay the benefits of murdered security personnel, the first lady urged the authorities to keep up the pace.

Vickie Irabor, president of the Defence and Police Officers Wives Association (DEPOWA), responded by pledging her organization’s support and devotion to the first lady in her efforts to help the least fortunate in society.

Mrs Irabor reaffirmed her resolve to work in tandem with the first lady to ensure the country’s peace.

“We know it’s not easy; we’ve come to express our support since you’ve been a rock for us in the security family,” she said.
