Aisha Buhari ignores husband; invites Tinubu to chair book launch 

The office of the First Lady of Nigeria in collaboration with Women and National Development is set to launch a book in honour of Aisha Buhari.

While President Muhammadu Buhari is not invited for the programme, the national leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu is expected to chair the event.

The book titled: “Aisha Buhari: Being different” was written by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Administration and Women Affairs, Dr Hajo Sani.

Prominent Nigerians are expected to gather at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on April 8 to honour the wife of the President.

According to a copy of the invitation seen by this newspaper, the event is scheduled to be held at the State House Conference Centre.

Other High profile Nigerians expected, are Mrs Folorunsho Alakija who is the Special Guest of Honour, Mr Demi Otedola, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Mr Tony Elumelu, Alhaji Abdulsamad Rabiu, Mr Jim Ovia, Alhaji Muhammad Indimi, Chief Kessington Adebutu, Mrs Bola Shagaya and Captain Idahosa Okunbo.

The royal fathers of the day are the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar; the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi; and the Egbere Emere Okori Eleme, King Appolus Chu.

Recall that Aisha Buhari after being away from the country for about six months returned to the country on March 17.
