Insecurity: Boko Haram attacks new acting IGP hometown

The town of Geidam, located in Yobe state and hometown to the Acting IGP, Usman Baba was attacked last night by the terrorist group Boko Haram.

The attack made many of the residents run for their dear lives as shops were set ablaze.

The attack was confirmed by the Police Public Relation Officer in the state, ASP Dungus Abdulkarim.

He added that an Air Force jet had been sent to help the ground troops.

The last time the insurgents attacked Geidam was in February when they kidnapped three Customs officers.
