New naira Notes Look Fake — Pastor Giwa

Adewale Giwa, senior pastor of the ministry Awaiting The Second Coming of Christ, has questioned the appearance of the new naira notes.

The clergyman called the action “brainless,” and he added that the notes “appear false and nasty.”

The Central Bank of Nigeria’s newly designed banknotes were unveiled by President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday (CBN).

According to Pastor Giwa, a nation can be judged by the caliber of its currency.

“The new N500 is just like the old N200 in color while the new N500 is the same as N10 in color.

“I am not yet convinced that the new naira notes can increase the value of our currency.

“Can they reduce the prices of garri, rice or beans?”, his statement asked.

Giwa called the redesign another failed project by the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He said the ruling party had put Nigeria “in a state of confusion and unprecedented hardship” since 2015.

The cleric added that no one grabs a thing with deceit and lies “and expects to succeed”.
