In Imo, IPOB Insurgents Kill 3 Dangote Drivers, Set Bodies Ablaze

In the Orsu Local Government Area of Imo State, suspected IPOB insurgents assassinated a Dangote trailer driver, Saidu Alhassan, and two of his assistants, Halliru Mallam and Danjuma Isari.

The incident occurred on Wednesday when they were returning to their base in Obajana, Kogi State, after off-loading cement at the Dangote Cement Depot in Orlu, according to NewsDirect.

According to sources, the assailants initially ordered them to exit the van, then shot them dead and burned their bodies on fire after realizing they were all from the North.

Their bodies were discovered near the trailer on Thursday and were later evacuated to Obajana.

Security agents, Northerners, and violators of the sit-at-home order have been targeted by the outlawed separatist group since the latest wave of unrest in the South East.

Notably, rebels assassinated Ahmed Gulak, a prominent political aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan, in May of this year.

Six Suya sellers in Orlu and another in Umuaka Njaba were killed by IPOB terrorists in April.
