Family Of Osun Motorcyclist Killed By Policeman Demand Justice 13 Days After

13 days after his death, the family of Saheed Olabomi, a 31-year-old motorcyclist who was allegedly shot by a police sergeant accompanying key individuals in Osogbo, has demanded justice.

Sergeant Garba Adamu, who was escorting important personnel around 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 27, wanted to shoot in the air to disperse people at a traffic scene near Islaudeen Grammar School, Oke-Onitea area, Osogbo, according to eyewitnesses, allegedly shot Olabomi on his motorcycle.

Olabomi died on Thursday, July 27, 2021, after two days in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Osun State University Teaching Hospital, Osogbo.

The deceased was a father of two, Yusuf, 3, and Ayomide, a 10-month-old girl, and a National Diploma holder from Federal Polytechnic Offa, Kwara State. He was born in the year 1990 and married in the year 2017.
