President Muhammadu Buhari has disclosed that he was willing to pay the ultimate price for the betterment of Nigeria during his time in the Nigerian Army.
Buhari expressed faith that the country would overcome the current security and economic issues in his speech on Saturday to commemorate 2021 Democracy Day.
His administration, he claims, is working hard to put an end to the killings in various parts of the country.
Despite the hurdles, he thanked Nigerians for their support and patience, emphasizing that the country will emerge stronger.
He said, “Overcoming the present challenges is but one of a necessary process that we have to undergo as a nation so that we can come out stronger.
“The day I joined the Nigerian Army, I was prepared to lay down my life for Nigeria”.
