AKintoye Akindele was one of the few invited Nigeria’s that had the very rare privilege of meeting the HM King Charles III On Thursday 26 January, when The Africa Centre UKwelcomed His Majesty King Charles III for a tour of recently opened headquarters in Southwark.

Akintoye Akindele is also the Founder & CEO of DuportMidstream (the first energy park in Africa); Founder, CEO & Chairman of Atlantic International Refineries & Petrochemicals Limited; CEO & Chairman of Diatom Impact; a Future Africa Awards Honoree; awarded African Business Leader of the year 2022 by African Leadership Organisation; and a Business Accessibility & Inclusion Champion by the African Women’s Development and Communications Network.

Easily compared in Africa to Global business mogul like Bill gates, Elon Musk, Warren Buffet and many more, Dr as he is fondly called is well aware that the downside of having such enviable and intimidating profile is that detractors will also arise who will stop at nothing to halt the fast growth being experienced, as the continued disruption of the Business Landscape by him could mean an early retirement to some entrenched Business leaders.

Passionate about the development and growth of entrepreneurs in Africa, Dr. Akindele has impacted over 100,000 youth entrepreneurs in Africa and internationally. He is a frequent speaker at leading business schools, conferences and seminars on investing in Africa, private investment in Africa and the role of entrepreneurship in Africa’s evolution. In His words “I am passionate about Africa and want to see to it that African Entrepreneurs, youths and business people become very successful and relevant globally, and I will not stop regardless of obstacles; until the dream of an empowered Africa (which will deliver maximum dividends to Africans from itsVast natural and human resources) is birthed”
