Hours After TB Joshua’s Death, Another Popular Prophet Dies At 68

Reverend Stephen Akinola, a well-known cleric and the General Superintendent of Redemption Ministries Worldwide, has died.

His death comes as Nigerians mourn the death on Saturday of Prophet TB Joshua of the Synagogue Church of All Nations.

According to Punch, Akinola had a kidney transplant some time ago, but the cause of his death has yet to be determined.

The cleric is said to have spent several months in India due to the same health issue.

Many believers, including members of his congregation and locals, flocked to the church’s headquarters in Port Harcourt to pay their respects to the revered cleric.

Akinola, who was born in Igboho, Oyo State, is 68 years old. He was born in the city of Tamale in Ghana’s northern region.

In January 1987, Akinola, a young pastor of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, left the church and formed his own ministry, the Redemption Ministries, which has grown significantly and spread throughout various states in Nigeria as well as to countries such as Brazil, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
