BREAKING: Gunmen Raze Ohanaeze President’s Country Home In Imo

On Saturday morning, gunmen set fire to the country residence of Prof George Obiozor, President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, in Awo-Omanma, Oru East Local Government Area, Imo State.

According to The Punch, the terrorists arrived in vehicles and threw explosive devices at the Igbo leader’s home.

Obiozor was not at home when his house was attacked, according to reports.

A source said, “The country home of Prof George Obiozor was burnt. The CCTV cameras captured the attack. Thank God Prof was not at home when they came.”

Obiozor has yet to reply to a request for comment on the attack, but one of Ohanaeze Ndigbo’s leaders, who wishes to remain anonymous, said he had phoned Obiozor to express his condolences on the incident.

He demanded that the arsonists be apprehended by the police.

Micheal Abattam, the state’s police spokesperson, had yet to respond to a question about the attack on Obiozor’s country residence. This arson has to stop.

On the same day as the attack on Obiozor’s rural residence, the Umuguma Divisional Police Headquarters in the state’s Owerri West LGA was set on fire.
