Former Edo State Governor, Igbinedion Loses Mother At 85

Chief Lucky Igbinedion, the former Governor of Edo State, has lost his mother, Maria Oredola Igbinedion.

According to NEWS DIRECT, Oredola, who died on Thursday at the age of 85, was a descendant of the ‘Ogbebor N’ Usen family in the state’s Ovia North East Local Government Area.

The funeral arrangements for the octogenarian, who is survived by children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, would be disclosed later by the family, according to Chief Lucky, her eldest son.

Between 1999 until 2007, the Esama of Benin, Chief Gabriel Igbinedion, fathered Lucky Igbinedion, who controlled the state on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) platform.
