‘Former Adamawa Governor Bindow Has Dumped APC For PDP’ – Delegation Claims

Prior to the general elections in 2023, Jibrilla Bindow, the former governor of Adamawa State, is said to have left the All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to information obtained by Naija News, Bindow allegedly joined the PDP in order to back state governor Umaru Fintiri’s campaign for reelection.

Bindow reportedly sent a delegation of 250 representatives from his support organizations to express his backing for Governor Fintiri.

Speaking on Monday at the Banquet Hall of Government House in Yola, the delegation’s leader, Abdullahi Bakari, revealed that their principal had ordered the visit.

Bakari revealed that Bindow had requested them to thank Governor Fintiri for seeing to the completion of the projects he had inherited throughout the state.

The delegations noted that they are also supporting the presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar in his presidential bid.

They described Atiku as their leader over the years who needs their support in his presidential ambition.

The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has explained why he personally attended the campaign rally of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State on Monday.

Speaking at the palace of the Lamido of Adamawa, the President was quoted to have said he was in the state to support the party’s governorship candidate, Aisha Binani as well as all other candidates of the APC for the 2023 election.

He stressed that it is important to support Binani to emerge as the first female Governor in Nigeria which according to President Buhari will send a strong message to the world about Nigeria’s democracy.
