Fayose, Others Mock Buhari As Twitter Deletes Reckless Post

Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose has taken to popular microblogging site Twitter to mock, President Buhari after his tweet was taken down by the social network.

Thousands of Nigerians took to the social network yesterday calling for the deletion of the tweet made by the President, where he was reacting to the destruction of 42 facilities of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) across Nigeria, particularly in the South-East.

The president in the tweet stated that the people responsible for the destruction would “soon have the shock of their lives.”

He added in the thread that “many of those misbehaving today are too young to be aware of the destruction and loss of lives that occurred during the Nigerian Civil War. Those of us in the fields for 30 months, who went through the war, will treat them in the language they understand.”

This tweet, however, did not sit well amongst Nigerian who felt the President failed to resolve the nation’s protracted security crisis but vowing to unleash violence similar to what the Igbos suffered at the hands of federal government-controlled soldiers during the civil war.

However, since his tweet has been taken down, a lot of Nigerians and Ayo Fayose has taken to Twitter to mock the president.

Ayo Fayose tweeted,

“When is Mr President Buhari using his power as Commander-in-chief to “show Twitter pepper” for deleting his tweets? Or Twitter will just delete our President’s tweets just like that and there won’t be consequences?”
