Fans React As Wizkid Sells Out O2 Arena Tickets In Two Minutes

Wizkid, the Grammy Award-winning artist, is currently trending at number one on Nigerian Twitter, and the reason isn’t hard to guess. The singer’s Made In Lagos tour tickets were sold out in under two minutes.

The concert will take place as part of The 02: The Welcome Back Show at London’s O2 Arena, which has been closed because to the COVID 19 outbreak.

The O2 Arena is a multi-purpose indoor arena in the heart of the Greenwich Peninsula’s O2 entertainment complex in southeast London. The event centre, which has a seating capacity of 20,000, is the second-largest indoor arena in the United Kingdom, behind the Manchester Arena.

The artist sold out tickets for the second date of the event in 35 minutes, despite the fact that the show originally had two dates. Big Wiz, as he is known, made the announcement on his official social media sites.

Furthermore, due to popular demand, a third date for Star Boy’s O2 concert has been added, as revealed by The 02 Arena’s verified Twitter account.

The singer sold out all of the tickets within minutes of the announcement. Some of his most ardent supporters have rushed to Twitter to voice their opinions with the news.

See some reactions gathered below:

A tweep, @mercibeaucoup_x, simply wrote, “At this rate, Wizkid should just hold a week-long crusade because how does one sell out like that??”

Another Twitter user, @iamOkon, said, “Wizkid can announce one straight week of performing at O2 and it’s going to keep being sold out every day and in record time too. Man is too loved, been consistent and a top performer too. Wembley could actually be next!”

A fan of the Star Boy, @BigMallyy, claims the singer is the first African artiste to break the record. He wrote on Twitter, “@wizkidayo becomes the first African Artist to Sell Out The O2 Arena in 2 Minutes, breaking his first record as the first to sell out the Arena in 12 Minutes.”

The Twitter user, @obaoriade, urged the singer to hold a concert in Surulere. He tweeted, “Btw, @wizkidayo you owe us at least one Surulere Stadium concert, and I think the time is now!!! Surulere stadium for Made In Lagos tour!!!”
