Ex President, Abdulsalami Begs Nigerian Criminals To Repent

Former Head of State General Abdulsalami Abubakar has urged criminal elements in Nigeria to reconsider their actions and repent for the sake of Nigeria’s peace, growth, and stability.

Abdulsalami made the statement after seeing the two rakaats Eid-el Kabir prayers at the Minna prayer venue.

He also prayed that Allah would move their hearts to condemn deeds like banditry, cattle rustling, and other criminal activities.

While congratulating the Muslim ummah and Nigerians on witnessing this year’s Eid-el-Kabir festivities, the elder statesman emphasized the need of maintaining peace and order and assisting all those in need.

In his speech, Niger State Governor Abubakar Sani Bello urged Nigerians of all ethnic and religious backgrounds to pray fervently for the country’s security institutions.

” Irrespective of our ethnicity, religions, there is a need for us to pray for our security men in the country for the wisdom to overcome all the current security challenges bedevilling our country.”

Bello urged Nigerllites to offer genuine security intelligence to the state’s security services, and he expressed confidence that Niger State and Nigeria would overcome their current security challenges.

Dr Muazu Babangida Aliyu, the former governor of Niger State, also urged Nigerians to assist and collaborate with government and security services in order to achieve the best possible results in the fight against crime.

He asked authorities at all levels to devise thoughtful strategies aimed at alleviating the current hardships that Nigerians are facing.

Malam Ibrahim Isa Fari, the Chief Imam of Minna Central Mosque, who conducted the two Eid prayers, also slaughtered his ram, paving the door for other Muslim faithful to do the same.
