Ex-Nigerian Military Ruler, Abdulsalami Abubakar Flown Abroad Over Ill-Health

General Abdulsalami Abubakar (retd. ), the former military Head of State, is said to have travelled abroad due to his poor health.

According to ThisDay, the retired Army General may have had a partial stroke.

According to the report, he was transferred abroad for medical treatment roughly three weeks ago.

He was flown to Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), but is now being treated at a UK hospital (UK).

Justice Fati Abubakar, Abubakar’s wife and former First Lady, accompanied him.

After the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primaries, his in-law and Niger Governor, Abubakar Bello, left the nation to pay him a visit.

Meanwhile, according to the report, the Chairman of the National Peace Committee (NPC) remains in a stable condition, with medics continuing to monitor him.
