EPL: Arsenal Appoint New Coach

Arsenal has announced more behind-the-scenes changes, with assistant first-team coach Andreas Georgson departing and Nicolas Jover joining from Manchester City.

Georgson, who joined the Gunners in August 2020, will play for Malmo in his homeland of Sweden.

Mikel Arteta, the team’s head coach, has rapidly bolstered his backroom staff, bringing in a familiar face from Etihad Stadium.

Georgson is replaced by Jover, who left City after his contract expired in June. He was brought in as a set-piece specialist, having previously worked for the Premier League champions in a similar capacity.

Jover had the opportunity to work with Arteta while coaching with Pep Guardiola.

On August 13, Arsenal will kick off their 2021/2022 season against Brentford.
