Enugu governor’s wife says ‘prayer is the only solution to Nigeria’s security challenges’

Mrs Monica Ugwuanyi, the wife of the Enugu State governor, has urged women in Nigeria to intercede and offer prayers to God over the security challenges in the country.

Mrs Ugwuanyi made the call in Enugu on Sunday during the state monthly prayer session at the Michael Okpara Square, Enugu.

She called on the Women to pray fervently for God’s intervention in the security and economic challenges confronting the nation.

According to her, prayer is key to stemming the tide of security challenges in the country.

She enjoined women to pray hard and he vigilant over their homes and monitor what their children do at all times.

“We have to sit up because women are for prayers, some of our husbands do not have time and we are also agents of peace,” the governor’s wife said.

Ugwuanyi told the women that their contributions and dedication to God through prayers and promotion of good virtues would go a long way to bring permanent solutions to the nation’s challenges.

She also advised the women to always adhere to COVID-19 protocol to curtail the spread of the virus.

Speaking at the event, Evangelist Favour Ugwuanyi, the Permanent Secretary, Enugu State Post Primary Schools Management Board (PPSMB), urged women to have prayer partners, adding that with prayers Nigeria’s glory will be restored.

Highlights of the programme were praise and worship, prayer intercession for the country as well as presentation of gift items to women in attendance by the governors wife.
