Ebonyi Governor, Umahi Sacks Board Members, Over 1,200 Aides

David Umahi, Ebonyi State Governor has eliminated all boards and commissions in the state with rapid effect.

He made this statement during his tenure’s second anniversary address to the people of the state at the Executive Chamber of the Old Government House, Abakaliki, on Saturday.

The sacked are: management committee members, liaison officers, and local government advisory committee members at all the 64 local government areas and 171 wards in the state.

All the Executive Assistants, Technical Assistants, and Senior Technical Assistants to the governor, were also affected by the sack

In its totality, those sacked were over 1,200.

The sack came barely 24 hours after the governor sacked 83 members of the state executive council.
