Dowen College: Former Vice President Atiku Demands Proper Justice For Sylvester Oromoni

Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President, has called for justice for Sylvester Oromoni, a 12-year-old Secondary School student who was allegedly assaulted at Dowen College in Lagos State.

Sylvester died as a result of internal injuries acquired during an assault by classmates.

But the school Principal, Mrs. Adebisi Layiwola, in a statement denied any form of bullying or attack on the student.

The denial sparked outrage on social media as Nigerians demanded that the perpetrators be arrested.

This led the Lagos State government to shut down the school and ordered an investigation into the incident. https://dailypost.ng/2021/12/03/lagos-govt-shuts-dowen-college-in-lekki-over-sylvester-oromonis-death/

He wrote, “We shall be failing in our duties as parents/guardians, administrators, security agencies and government if we do not get to the bottom of the case of late Sylvester Oromoni.

“ It is beholden upon us to enthrone a safe environment in our schools.#Justiceforsylvester”
