Following the tribunal’s decision to remove Governor Ademola Adeleke as governor, there is a significant uprising in Osun state.
The tribunal confirmed today that there were too many votes cast in the election and revoked roughly ten local governments where it had been found.
Oyetola was named the election’s victor when the votes were counted, overturning Ademola Adeleke’s victory in the July 2022 election.
Residents have protested the ruling by blocking a key bridge and flooding the streets with garbage.
