COVID-19: Rivers Overtakes Lagos As NCDC Reports Over 800 Cases, More Deaths

In 19 states and the Federal Capital Territory of Abuja, the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has recorded 835 new cases of COVID-19.

The state with the most new cases, Rivers, had 263 infections, followed by Lagos, which had 217.

In a post on its verified Facebook page on Friday morning, the health agency announced this.

Throughout the previous 24 hours, roughly 10 people have died in the country, bringing the overall number of dead to 2,298.

Nigeria has so far recorded 189,715 cases of the disease, with around 169,626 people recovering.
