Corpses Recovered From Collapsed 21-storey Building In Lagos
Three bodies have been discovered from the ruins of a 21-story skyscraper that fell in Lagos State on Monday afternoon.
The structure, which was under construction and located off Alexander Way, Gerrard Road in Ikoyi, collapsed, trapping an unidentified number of construction workers, according to DAILY POST.
While speaking with reporters at the scene, Ibrahim Farinloye, Coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), stated that three lifeless bodies had been discovered and sent to a state-owned morgue.
“The deceased bodies were pulled out from under the rubble,” he said.
It was also gathered that three persons have been rescued and are currently being treated by the medical team of the Lagos State General Hospital.
