Convicted Nigerian Senator, Ekweremadu’s Son Bags Fresh Appointment

The son of convicted ex-deputy senate president, Senator Ike Ekweremadu has been appointed a commissioner in Enugu state.

The list, which was recently announced by the secretary to the state government, Prof Chidiebere Onyia had the senator’s eldest son, Barr Llyod Ekweremadu as one of the commissioner nominees.

Recall the older Ekweremadu in June, last year, was arrested by the London Metropolitan Police over the allegation that Mr Nwanini, whom the couple took to London for organ harvesting, was a minor.

Ike Ekweremadu was later sentenced by a UK court to nine years and eight months in prison.

The court also sentenced Mr Ekweremadu’s wife, Beatrice, to four years and six months in prison while a doctor who allegedly colluded with them, Obinna Obeta, was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
