Controversial AGF Malami Named ‘Nigerian Youth Symbol’, ‘Omoluabi Of Yoruba’

Abubakar Malami, the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, has been dubbed the “Golden Symbol of Nigerian Youths.”

The AGF’s remarks on a number of national topics have made him a divisive figure.

Malami slammed the Southern Governors’ objection to open grazing, claiming that states are unable to collect Value Added Tax (VAT).

The minister has been accused of breaking court orders, among other things, by insisting that the federal government will not release the names of Boko Haram’s sponsors.

On the other hand, a non-governmental organization lauded him on Tuesday for “displaying charismatic leadership characteristics that culminated in colossal contribution to the dispensation of justice system.”

Malami’s “hard work, honesty, and excitement indicates as a guy of remarkable legal acumen,” according to the director, Abubakar M. K., according to a statement by the minister’s spokesman, Umar Gwandu.

According to Abubakar, the Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) has been combating corruption with tenacity under the Buhari government.

“The entire Nigerian Youth are also not unaware of your immense, notable and laudable contribution to economic growth, political stability and support for the survival of democracy in Nigeria”, he said.

Also on Tuesday, 54-year-old Malami from Kebbi was conferred with the “Omoluabi” of Oduduwa Youth Worldwide.

The leader, Akinyele Olasumbo described the AFG as “a patriotic and selfless Nigerian who ensures constitutional democracy and that justice is served without fair or favour”.
