BREAKING: NLC President Finally Reveals Those Who Beat Him To Stupor, Dragged Him On The Floor

The President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Joe Ajaero, has made shocking allegations of being physically assaulted by thugs in Imo State on Friday, November 10.

Speaking at a press conference in Abuja, Ajaero recounted a harrowing experience where he was reportedly arrested by the police in Owerri, the state capital, only to be handed over to seven assailants who subjected him to severe beatings and treated him like a common criminal.

Expressing his dismay, Ajaero revealed that the NLC had, in advance, communicated with all security agencies regarding their planned protest. However, upon workers’ arrival at the venue at 7 am, they were reportedly attacked by thugs who not only beat them up but also confiscated their phones.

Ajaero narrated that he personally arrived at the scene around 9 am after receiving distressing reports of the assault on workers. To his shock, instead of receiving protection from the police, he was apprehended and subsequently handed over to the very thugs responsible for the earlier attacks.

In his words, Ajaero emphasized the brutality of the incident, stating, “I can’t explain the beating I received. They tied my hands and dragged me on the floor like a common criminal.”

Recall that NLC members had pointed accusing fingers at Governor Hope Uzodinma after the incident. They alleged that the police and thugs that subjected them to brutal beating simply acted in connivance with and on the orders of Uzodinma.
