Champions League: How Alisson disobeyed Klopp during 3-0 defeat to Barcelona

BT co-commentator, Steve McManaman, has claimed that Liverpool goalkeeper, Alisson Becker, disobeyed Jurgen Klopp’s instructions during their 3-0 defeat to Barcelona on Wednesday.

The Reds were well beaten in their Champions League semi-final first leg at the Nou Camp on Wednesday night.

Lionel Messi scored twice for Barca, including a stunning free-kick, to take his tally to 600 goals for the club.

However, it appeared Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, was desperate for his side to score, so he tried to throw goalkeeper Alisson up for a corner.

The incident wasn’t spotted by the TV cameras and although the Brazilian eventually obliged, he was immediately told to head back to goal by Salah.

McManaman said: “Jurgen’s pointing at Alisson to get in the box as well, and Alisson just said no to him!

“Now he’s going. He’s been told no again. Salah said no to him this time.”
