Presidency speaks on N150,00 monthly payment to repentant Boko Haram members

The Presidency has reacted to reports that repentant Boko Haram members will be paid N150,000 monthly.

Reports emerged on social media that Nigerian government was making plans to pay Boko Haram repentant members N150,000 monthly.

However, Bashir Ahmad, media aide to President Muhammadu Buhari described the report as false.

He urged Nigerians to disregard the report.

Ahmad on his Twitter page wrote: “FAKE NEWS ALERT: The Federal Government is NOT planning to start paying repented Boko Haram members N150,000 monthly.

“The story is baseless and should be regarded as the usual fake news. When you see it here or on WhatsApp, ask the poster to provide a credible source of the story.”

  1. If this ideal can come to a president of our nation then we don’t hv a president because it’s the wrongest thing to do on Earth giving money to people killing innocent citizens it only means the president it’s their leader

  2. There is no smoke without fire. The government of the day cannot be trusted with whatever they say. It’s has being a government of denials. You deny everything, even the most glaring things, you deny. You have a plan to start paying if the government have not even started already paying the so called repentant Boko Haram members, that’s why the news came out. Like I said earlier, no smoke with out fire.
