Buhari Says No To Biafra, Oduduwa Republic

President Muhammadu Buhari has said no ethnic group will break away from Nigeria.

In recent times, Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and the Yoruba One Voice (YOV) have reiterated their resolve to achieve Biafra and Oduduwa Nations.

Both groups have asked the FG to between now and October 1, 2021, conduct a referendum to allow citizens choose whether to leave or remain in the country.

But during his independence day broadcast, President Buhari said if some constituencies choose to bargain off their power, they should be prepared for denial of their rights.

The President, therefore, urged Nigerians to pursue their aspirations together.

“I am convinced that if we pursue our aspirations TOGETHER we would be able to achieve whatever we desire. That informed our adopting the theme TOGETHER to mark this epochal event.

“Together we can change our condition for the better and more importantly, together we can do much more for ourselves and for our country,” he said.
