BREAKING: Victory For Chukwueze As Villarreal Beat Man United To Win Europa

Villarreal, the club of Super Eagles attacker Samuel Chukwueze, overcame Manchester United on penalties to win the Europa League for the first time.

After a 1-1 draw after 120 minutes in Gdansk on Wednesday, the Europa League final between Manchester United and Villarreal was decided on penalties.

With his 30th goal of the season, Gerard Moreno put the Spaniards ahead in the 29th minute.

But United came back in the second half, drawing level 10 minutes after the break when Edinson Cavani scored for the sixth time in five Europa League outings.

Unai Emery’s Villarreal were the more threatening side in extra time, but will have to try and win their first major trophy in a shoot-out.
