BREAKING: Terrorists Kidnap Nigeria’s Divisional Police Officer In Plateau, Days After Resumption
In the Pankshin Local Government Area of Plateau State, terrorists—locally known as bandits—have kidnapped a Divisional Police Officer (DPO), simply known as SP Laree.
According to reports, Laree was kidnapped on Thursday at the Woktori Hotel in Pankshin.
Three days after starting at his new job as the DPO, he was reportedly kidnapped.
According to the police officer who described the incident to SaharaReporters but asked that his name not be used, the gunmen shot at the DPO before kidnapping him.
The officer said, “The DPO was just recently posted to Pankshin, perhaps three days ago.
He said, “He was a guest at a hotel in Pankshin, where he was when the shooters arrived and shot him before dragging him away.
As of the time of filing this report, the spokesperson for the police in Plateau State, DSP Alfred Alabo, did not responded to calls or a text message for comments.
