BREAKING: Retired NBC Director, 15-Year-Old Daughter Kidnapped In Katsina

Bandits have made fresh abductions in the state less than 24 hours after the abduction of family members of lawmakers in the Katsina State House Assembly.

They attacked Bakori Housing Units last night and kidnapped former NBC director Alhaji Ahmed Abdulkadir and his 15-year-old daughter, Laila.

The bandits, who were armed with AK 47 rifles, also kidnapped three other residents.

According to sources, the victims’ residences were raided at 9 p.m.

Alhaji Bello Aminu Bakori, Shamsuddeen Aminu, and one Habibu Rabe of the Bakori Local Education Authority were among those kidnapped.

Vigilantes in the region mobilized and went after them less than an hour after they were kidnapped.

The armed guys were apparently apprehended by local guards in Danja Local Government Area, and three victims were believed to have regained their freedom following an exchange of gunfire.

Abdulkadir and his daughter, on the other hand, are alleged to still be held captive.

In a new wave of insecurity sweeping the country, bandits have made life difficult for many.

Gunmen have broken into homes across Nigeria, from Abuja to Zamfara, Niger, and elsewhere, abducting their victims for millions of dollars.
