BREAKING: Nigerian Soldiers Engage Bandits In Kaduna, Kill One, Arrest Three, Recover 18 Motorcycles

Soldiers from the 1st Division of the Nigerian Army have taken three other bandits who had been terrorizing some nearby communities in Kaduna State and neutralized one of them.

The agents also seized 18 motorcycles, 27 rounds of special 7.62 mm ammunition, one AK-47 rifle, and other contraband from the bandits.

The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 1 Division, Maj Gen Taoreed Lagbaja, led the troops on Tuesday morning, according to Brig Gen Onyema Nwachukwu, Director of Army Public Relations.

“Bandits have been cleared in Buruku, Udawa, Manini, Birnin Gwari, Doka, Maganda, Kuyello, and Dogon Dawa communities in Kaduna state,” read the statement. “A fighting patrol led by the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 1 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Taoreed Lagbaja, accompanied by a team of operational commanders and operatives, has cleared bandits in that location on Monday, August

“In the fire fight that ensued during the engagements, the patrol team overpowered the bandits with superior fire power, neutralizing one of them, while three others were captured alive, as some of the criminal elements escaped with gunshot wounds.” The patrol team also recovered one AK-47 rifle, 27 rounds of 7.62 mm special ammunition and 18 motorcycles.

“Members of the public, particularly health facilities and paramedics, are urged to watch out for people who may be seeking medical attention for gunshot wounds and please report them to relevant security agencies.”
