BREAKING: NANS Makes U-turn, Joins June 12 Protest In Osogbo

The National Association of Nigeria Students (NANS) has reversed its decision to order members to boycott the statewide demonstration on June 12.

On Saturday, the association’s Osun State chapter joined a statewide demonstration in Osogbo, the state capital.

Sunday Asefon, the president of the NANS, announced on Friday that the scheduled statewide protest on June 12 had been postponed.

However, a civil society coalition in Osun has organized a big march against Nigerian insecurity and unemployment.

Comrade Oyelayo Afeez, the Chairman of NANS JCI in Osun State, led the organization’s members en masse to Oke-Fia.

Afeez stated that the country’s predicament is intolerable to live in.
