At the GSM market on Beirut Road in Kano, Northwest Nigeria, a three-story building under construction apparently collapsed, trapping several people inside.
According to a source speaking to SaharaReporters, “people are thought to be trapped beneath the rubble.”
It was also learned that emergency personnel had arrived at the scene to free the trapped individuals.
At the Kanti Kwari textile market in Kano State, a three-story building collapsed in June, killing 20-year-old construction worker Abdulkadir Nasiru and injuring coworker Naziru Shafiu.
On Friday, a building in Abuja’s Kubwa Satellite town also fell, reportedly killing two people.
