Boko Haram/ISWAP Terrorists Surrender, Ask Nigerians For Forgiveness [Photos]

Members of the terrorist groups Boko Haram and the Islamic State of West Africa Province, ISWAP, who recently surrendered to the Nigerian Army in the north pleaded for Nigerians to pardon them for their terrorist operations.

In the Bama Local Government Area of Borno State, the claimed main bomb specialist of the terrorists, Musa Adamu, a.k.a Mala Musa Abuja, and his second-in-command, Usman Adamu, also known as Abu Darda, along with their family, surrendered.

During the greeting ceremony, some of the terrorist group’s top commanders held posters begging Nigerians for forgiveness.

Some of the placards carried inscriptions such as “Nigerians please forgive us”, “surrender and be freed”, “Borno State remains the home of peace”.

According to Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, Director of Army Public Relations, the surrendered terrorists and their families totaled 335 fighters, 746 adult women and children, including one of the abducted Chibok girls.

Brigadier General Abdulwahab Adelokun Eyitayo, acting General Officer Commanding (GOC) 7 Division and Commander Sector 1 OPHK, greeted the repentant terrorists at Headquarters 21 Special Armoured Brigade Bama in Borno State, according to the release.
