BREAKING: June 12 Protest Kicks Off In Osogbo, Akure
On Saturday, youths protesting bad governance and insecurity stormed Osogbo, the capital of Osun State, and Akure, the capital of Ondo State.
Youths from Osun State’s Coalition of Civil Society congregated on the renowned Oke-Fai roundabout, according to reports.
The demonstrators carried banners and placards calling for a better Nigeria.
“We cannot allow our state’s economic activity to be ruined in the name of few secessionist agitators. We are here today to demand a better country that works for everyone; we want a safe environment,” Waheed Saka, one of the Osun protestors, stated.
“We need a good and working Nigeria,” “stop the killings,” and “End terrible governance” are among the slogans on banners hoisted by protestors in Akure.
