JUST IN: Residents Run For Their Lives As Cultists Butcher Security Guard, Another To Death

In Aiyetoro, Ijanikin area of Lagos State, two individuals, including a security guard, fell victim to a renewed cult war.

This violence follows the recent killing of cult leader Shulee in Ojo, where his head was severed and sent to his camp.

The latest incident involved rival gang members from the Aiye and Eiye cults, with the security guard being lured out of his house and brutally attacked by his killers.

According to a source, the victim had intervened in a phone theft case allegedly involving an Aiye member. After brokering peace between the phone owner and the cult gang members, the security guard was promised the return of the phone.

The source said, “What happened was that the victim brokered peace between the owner of the phone and the cult gang members. After the peace meeting the gang members promised to return the phone. Two days later, the cultists called the security man to come and collect the phone. He went and collected the phone and handed it over to its owner.”

“However, the gang members fired a shot at the victim as he was living the area. Other members of the gang started matcheting him until they reduced his body to a hip of meat.”

The assailants fled on motorcycles, leaving witnesses fleeing in fear. Another casualty occurred in the Iyana-Era area of Ijanikin.

Lagos State Police Command’s spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin, stated that he was not aware of the reported killings.
