JUST IN: Basketmouth announces separation from wife
Bright Okpocha, better known by his stage name Basketmouth, a well-known comedian, has announced his separation from his wife.
The comedian, 44, announced the dissolution of his 2010 marriage to Elsie Uzoma Okpocha after 12 years of marriage.
In a statement posted on his verified Instagram account on Thursday afternoon, Basketmouth revealed the terrible information.
“As much as it pains me to bring my private life to the public realm, this is an inescapable circumstance,” the statement said. After careful consideration, my wife and I have decided to dissolve our marriage.
It added: “As we move forward separately, we will continue to work together to give our beautiful children all the care, love, guidance and support they need. We humbly ask that you respect our privacy as we navigate through these times. Thank you.”
They both share three children together – a boy and girl named Jason Okpocha, Janelle Okpocha respectively and the third that was born in 2021 after Elsie had suffered three miscarriages.
