BREAKING: Buhari Presides Over Security Meeting In Abuja

At the Presidential Villa in Abuja, President Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) is currently presiding over a security meeting.

This came after the President swore in Muazu Sambo, the newly appointed Minister of State for Works and Housing.

The Senate confirmed the new Minister of State, a building engineer, as a Minister-Designate earlier this week after the upper legislative house screened him.

Although the agenda for the security meeting has not been released, top Presidency sources have hinted that it will focus on the recent wave of bandit assaults in several parts of the country, as well as newly found threats and countermeasures.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr. Boss Mustapha, and the National Security Adviser, Major General Babagana Monguno, are among those in attendance (retd.).

Major General Salihi Magashi (retd.) is the Minister of Defense; Rauf Aregbesola is the Minister of Interior; General Lucky Irabor is the Chief of Defense Staff; Lieutenant General Farouk Yahaya is the Chief of Army Staff; Vice Admiral Awwal Gambo is the Chief of Naval Staff; and Air Marshal Isiaka Amao is the Chief of Air Staff.

In addition, Alkali Usman, the Inspector-General of Police, Yusuf Bichi, the Director-General of the Department of State Service, and Ahmed Abubakar, the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency, are in attendance.
