UNILAG Set To Host Global Experts To Discuss The Future Of Universities

Shubham Chaudhuri, Nigeria Country Director for World Bank and Ms Yvonne Ike, the Managing Director (Sub Saharan Africa) Bank of America/ Merrill Lynch will be leading other globally renowned experts to discuss the future of universities at the second University of Lagos International Week. The 3-day event scheduled to hold virtually from October 12, 2021 to October 14, 2021, would have in attendance notable personalities such as the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr Udom Emmanuel; the Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, Vice-Chancellor, Stellenbosch University, Professor Wim de Villiers; the Secretary-General, Association of African Universities, Professor. O.B. Oyewole; Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Derby Business School, University of Derby, Professor Kamil Omoteso.The Consul Generals of foreign embassies, representatives of Universities; University of Michigan, European Business University, University of Dundee, University of Bayreuth,University of Pretoria, the National Universities Commission (NUC), Coursera, Sterling Bank among others will also be participating in the activities filled 3-day event.Globally renowned personalities will be discussing topics such as ‘Futures Thinking and Strategic Collaborations’, ‘Collaborative Programmes in the Fourth Industrial Revolution’, the ‘Whither University Administration’and ‘Innovative Collaborations’. The webinar which is facilitated by the University of Lagos Office of International Relations, Partnerships and Prospects expects participants from the public and private sectors in Nigeria, members of the Diplomatic community, African Education Policy Makers, Representatives of Nigerian and International Education institutions, leading Academicians, students, members of Industry and Development Partners as well as members of the University Alumni
