BREAKING: Another Building Collapses In Lagos, Many Feared Dead

At around 1.07 am on Wednesday, a structure in the Onipanu neighborhood of Lagos State apparently collapsed on Oke Arin Street, off of Shyllon Ilupeju.

According to reports, this occurrence occurred just two weeks after a church structure that was under construction in Mushin fell in front of number 17, Cardoso Street, off Martins Street.

Dr. Oluwafemi Oke-Osanyintolu, the permanent secretary of LASEMA, the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, acknowledged the Onipanu tragedy.

“The Alpha Cobra team of Lagos State Emergency at Onipanu En route Oke Arin street off shyllon Ilupeju.” He said.

The number of fatalities reported in the most recent occurrence is unclear.

One person was confirmed deceased in a building fall on Lagos Island in Lagos State in May, according to SaharaReporters.

On Saturday afternoon, the event took place at a two-story building on Freeman Street.

In addition, a structure fell in the state’s Ebute Metta region, causing at least 10 fatalities and numerous injuries.
